Safety and Security are a top priority for us at DC Kids Ministry. Each volunteer is required to complete a background check before serving in this ministry. We also have a security check- in system for all children birth through 5th grade.
WHAT IS DC KIDS?
DC Kids Ministry is for children birth through 5th grade. We agree with the scripture in 3 John 4 that says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” Based on this truth, our goal is to help kids:
Discover Christ (know Jesus)
Develop Character (be like Jesus)
Display Compassion (share Jesus)

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OUR PRESCHOOL MINISTRY
At 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning preschoolers learn about God’s Word through Bible stories, crafts, music, videos and snack. During our 11:00 a.m. hour all classes have activities that reinforce what they learned about in the Bible story during our first hour. They will enjoy more activities, crafts, music and outside playtime on our playground.
All of our preschool classes are broken down according to date of birth so your child will enjoy playing and learning with other children their age. All activities are age appropriate. Our classrooms are very clean and we have a security check-in desk to help keep all of our little ones safe. We love preschoolers and we love teaching them about God and His Word, the Bible. Baby Dedication
This is a special time of prayer for parents to make a commitment to raise their child for the Lord. This takes place in our Sunday morning gathering. We have a dedication time planned for November 9, 2025. Please contact Monica Class in the church office to sign up, set up a special time or for any questions.
WHAT IS AWANA?
Awana is a scripture memory Discipleship Program for children ages 2 years through 5th grade. Each club uses scripture and age appropriate activities to encourage boys and girls to memorize and apply God’s Word.
Whether it is Puggles (2 and 3 year olds), Cubbies (3 and 4 year olds), Sparks (K-2nd grade), or T&T (3rd - 5th grade) each child enjoys large group time, small group time and games (K-5th) or outside playtime for preschoolers.
